Teams of 4-8 students will have a unique hands-on learning opportunity on board one of KAI’s research vessels participating in programmes of research and conservation under the European Union Habitat Directive.
Two courses are available
The 7-day module “Discovering the Open Sea – The challenge of studying a 3-dimensional environment” (Course I), and the 12 -days module “Advanced marine survey methodologies - Tracking great pelagics in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea” (Course II).
The data students will produce will not only be dedicated to their personal learning experience but also be a valuable contribution to an applied science expedition in the framework of international conservation of the European Commission. In 2014 the courses will be integrated in the LIFE+ Project MIGRATE.
