About Manaslu Circuit Trek

Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal is the long detour route within ACAP and MCAP. This is unique, diversified, off the beaten and restricted trekking trail of Nepal. Like in all restricted trekking routes; Manaslu Trek routes too require special immigration permits. Licensed guide and at least 2 trekkers are required to do the trek in the region.

Annapurna Conservation Area Project and Manaslu Conservation Area Project are two permits required. TIMS and Special Permit are also required. All these arrangements are done by the agency. Therefore, trekkers needn’t worry about the hassles. There are numerous fusses about the trek arrangements yet the journey is delightful and stupendous. Bus or jeep will take trekkers to Soti Khola via Dhading – Gorkha Highways. The road trip of rural Nepal via villages, rivers, towns and terraced farmlands is equally captivating.

Trekkers traverse through Machhakhola, Jagat, Chumling, Samagaon, and Samdo before crossing the Larke La Pass. Places after Chumling have completely the Nepalese Tibetan community. Alpine vegetation and high altitude landscape are regular features. Trekkers take the acclimatization rest in Samagaon. This is the last highly populated village on the trekking trail. There are monasteries and Chortens where trekkers can visit during the rest day. Trekkers can also stroll around the village. The gorgeous view of mountains like Manaslu, waterfalls and tranquil village creates enchanted moments. Trekkers then cross the Larke La Pass from Samagoan after a stop in Samdo and Dharmasala. From the top of the Larke La Pass, the scenery of Mt. Manaslu and other Tibetan mountains are spectacular. On the other side of the pass, trekkers meet up with the Annapurna Circuit Trek route. If you are in search of the adventurous long detour walking route; extend towards Thorong La Pass.
