History of Bandipur Homestay tour

Mostly Newari people are found in this village. In nineteenth century the Newari tribe migrated from Bhaktapur. This kind of art work can see while traveling along the narrow street. In early 18th century, Bandipur was an important stop on the trade route to India-Tibet. The Newari trader from Bhaktapur from Kathmandu moved into Bandipur after Kathmandu is conquered by Prithvi Narayan Shah in 1768.

Best time to visit Bandipur homestay tour

Autumn and spring is the best season to go trek, hike, and tour in Nepal. For Bandipur homestay tour, you can go throughout years.

In autumn season: autumn is the best time to visit Bandipur. It is because; the weather is warm in the daytime and quite cooling in the morning and evening. In autumn, the weather is warm and pleasant which is an ideal time to explore the local area.

In spring season: If you are planning to visit Bandipur then spring is the best time to visit. In spring season, you will get an opportunity to see dense forest which is fully covered by rhododendron with chirping sound of birds and insects.

You can visit in monsoon season, but there will be rain everywhere. The road will be muddy and slippery, but there will be greenery everywhere. In monsoon, you cannot enjoy outdoor activities. You can also visit in winter season, even though the weather is freezing cold, but can go for hiking which itself is the best things to do.

Accommodation and food

Accommodation: In Nepal, we will spend almost 5 nights and 6 days when 3 nights in Kathmandu and 2 nights in Bandipur. In Kathmandu, there are lots of luxury hotel, so accommodation is not problem here. But in Bandipur, we are going to stay with local people. We have to stay with local and sometime also share rooms with other trekkers. Homestay is the best way to get a closely glimpse of culture and tradition of the local. The rooms will have basic facilities like two beds, blankets, pillows, and basic furniture. You can carry sleeping bag with you. You can use in case if blanket is not enough for you.

Food: For food, you will serve the same food which is eaten by the host. On this village tour, you will taste the local cuisine. The food like yomari, chhoila, bara, and many more. At Bandipur, you have opportunity to join in the kitchen and learn how to cook the local cuisine.

Transportation

Bandipur is well-developed trekking destination in Nepal where you can easily go. To get into Bandipur, we can take local bus or tourist bus as you wish. Private jeep also provided, but you have to pay extra for private jeep. Local bus or tourist bus is cheaper than private jeep.
