About Poonhill Yoga Trek

Poon hill is one of the immensely popular gentle treks to the Annapurna region of Nepal. The highest point of this trek is at 3210m/10530ft. The trek begins and ends in Pokhara, where panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Himchuli and Nilgiri mountains can be viewed from the top of the Hill. Besides these mountains, exotic floras and faunas, Glacier Rivers and lakes can be witnessed on the trekking trail. Though it is considered as the mild level trek, the travellers not only experience the paradise on the earth but also get opportunities to be close to local culture and traditions. The combination of Yoga and trekking prepares the body and mind for the day ahead and takes travellers to experience the tranquillity in the mountains respectively.

The day begins with yoga exercises for stretching the weary muscles which make you recharge for the whole day for a hard day. The way for trekking is not very convenient since Nepal is almost covered with mountains and hills so you have to walk through meanders. In order to make the trip more interesting, light exercises can be done before and middle of the trek. Yoga Nidra or meditation is internal healing to get deep relaxation and to observe the relationship between body and mind which is practised every evening.
