About Dhaulagiri Trek

Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world which is 8,167 meters (26,795 ft) above sea level and the highest mountain within the borders of a single country (Nepal). Geographically, it is a land of dramatic contrast. Trekking around the giant Himalayan Peak Dhaulagiri (7th highest Himalayan Peaks of the world) is one of the most challenging treks The massive mountain range of Dhaulagiri consisting of fifteen 7000 meter peaks is magnificent. Trekking off the main paths is not only possible but can be immensely rewarding, though you do need a sense of adventure and an increased ability to deal with the unexpected.

This program is 23 days program that will take you to the Gandaki Gorge, the deepest Gorge in the world !! Dhaulagiri is without a doubt one of the astonishing "white mountains" though many of the mountains around the world have the same name when it is translated. This is a recently opened trekking region which gives you more reason to visit and experience the thrilling excitement.

  • Day 4Beni to Darbang and Overnight at Darbang
  • Day 5Darbang to Sibang and Overnight at hotel
  • Day 6Sibang to Muri
  • Day 7Muri to Boghara
  • Day 8Boghara to Dobang
  • Day 9Dobang to Chartare
  • Day 10Chartare to Pakabon
  • Day 11Pakabon to camp near glacier (3810m) Walk approximately 5-6 hours
  • Day 12Dhaulagiri glacier camp to Dhaulagiri base camp
  • Day 13Acclimatization at Mt. Dhulagiri Base Camp
  • Day 14Dhaulagiri base camp to Hidden valley (4900m), French pass (5360m) cross Walk approximately 6-7 hours
  • Day 15Hidden valley via Thapa pass (5230m) trek to Yak kharka (3990m)
  • Day 16Marpha trek to Larjung (2507m) Walk approximately 5-6 hours
  • Day 17Larjung trek to Ghasa (2013m) Walk approximately 5-6 hours
  • Day 18Ghasa trek to Tatopani / Natural hot spring (1179m) you may enjoy with natural hot spring
  • Day 19Tatopani trek to Ghorepani (2855m) walk approximately 6-7 hours

  • Day 21Tikhedhunga / Hile trek to Nayapul (867m)
