It is a more adventurous and really challenging course, with the big bounces and the daring gorges; this river rafting is more adventurous.

Rafting on this river will offer thrilling and adventure whether you are a seasoned rafter or a beginner rafter. It is highly adorable among adventure lovers, and it is one of the most famous rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking. It is ideal river rafting for both novices and experienced paddlers experiencing steep relentless stretches from class III and IV rapids. While rafting on this river, the rafting gets wild and steeper with grade IV and V rapids. The river rafting begins from Khadi Chour, just 4 hours north-east of the Kathmandu valley.

The river originates from Tibetan plateau, so the literate meaning of “Bhote” is “River from Tibet”. Rafting on the Bhotekoshi River offers real adventure with a roller-coaster ride where the rapids appear one after another and all are highly technical. The river runs through lovely narrow canyons covered with lush green vegetation, while the waters tumble down from great waterfalls. While rafting on the Bhotekoshi River, you will be amazed by the backdrop of the Langtang range and Dorje Lhakpa sparkle with extreme fascination. Though the river is not a typical big river, it is better to go with expertise.

Bhotekoshi River Rafting Difficulty

The difficulty of rafting the Bhotekoshi River depends upon the time you choose to visit. October and November is the perfect time for rafting because it is grade 4. If you are planning to do rafting in the monsoon season, it is not a good idea. It is because during the monsoon, there will be rain everywhere, and the rapids of the river will also be high. And if you are in Nepal during the monsoon, you are recommended to wait until the rain fully stops. You must know that rafting has 5 levels, which are Class I and II, perfect for children and non-swimmers. And rest III, IV, and IV is a difficult one, where the river is a steep and technical one. So while rafting this river, it requires a reactive crew, though it is not a typical big river flowing from the Himalayan. This river offers thrilling and adventure, though you are a seasoned rafter or a beginner rafter.
