About Tsum Valley Trek
Tsum Valley Trek takes you on an awe-inspiring journey to the untamed path of the Gorkha district. Tsum valley is a sacred pilgrimage valley situated in the high hills of Gorkha. This trek offers us views of the Ganesh and Siringi Himal along with views of the hills and pastures. This trek also offers us the experience to mix with the local people of the valley. Culture, tradition, and art are highly influenced by Tibetan values. You will experience the unique dialect of the local people and their artistic shrines. You will also be able to get closer with the Buddhist deities as stones are carved with drawings of their deities and symbols inscribed along with prayers. Tsum Valley is quite rich in flora and fauna as you will go through lush rhododendron forests.
Recently opened for trekking, this area has very little information and is greatly suitable for trekkers with moderate to fairly fit level of fitness. Tsum Valley Trek starts with a sightseeing trip to the world heritage sites of the Kathmandu Valley and then a long drive on a curvy and bumpy road will take us to the village of Arughat. From there, we start to hike up and down the hills to get to our final destination of Mu Gompa and Rachen Gompa, two of the oldest and artistic monasteries of the region. We will follow our footsteps back to the village of Arughat and drive to Kathmandu after exploring the valley. This trek can be completed in 18-24 days based on your scheme.
