By Air

From Kathmandu, firstly, we will take a flight towards Bhadrapur, which takes around 45 minutes. Once we have reached Bhadrapur, we take a local bus or take a private vehicle to start our trekking towards Pathivara Temple.

By Road

You can travel by bus or private vehicle. A tourist bus from Kathmandu to Birtamod usually takes around 12 hours, while a private vehicle might take a bit less time. And from Birtamod, we will drive to Taplejung, and from Taplejung, we will start our trekking.

Best time to visit Pathivara Temple

The best time to visit Pathivara Temple in Nepal largely depends on your preferences for weather and crowd.

Best weather: October to December (autumn) and March to May (spring) are ideal times. The weather is generally clear, pleasant, and conducive to trekking. These months offer a great opportunity to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes with moderate temperatures.

Avoiding the Monsoon: During the monsoon season (June to September), there will be heavy rains, which makes the trail slippery and potentially dangerous. It is best to avoid visiting during this time if you are not comfortable with wet and muddy conditions.
