From day 10 to day 34, climbers will typically follow a carefully planned itinerary that involves gradual acclimatization and staging camps along the mountain’s slopes. The journey begins from Base Camp (around 4800 meters), where climbers prepare for the ascent, with several days spent in higher camps to adjust to the thinning air. As they move higher, the risk of altitude sickness increases, and climbers must adapt by ascending slowly and allowing their bodies time to acclimatize. By day 20, most climbers will have reached Camp 1 (around 5700 meters), and will continue pushing forward to higher camps such as Camp 2 (around 6400 meters) and Camp 3 (around 7400 meters).

In the final push to the summit, climbers will leave the higher camps for a summit attempt, typically after a weather window allows for a safe climb. The stage, often between, day 30 to day 34, involves technical climbing through steep, exposed terrain and navigating through crevasses and icefalls. Once at the top (8163 meters), climbers are treated to breathtaking views of surrounding peaks, but their little time for celebration due to the extreme conditions.
