• Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu
    As you land on Kathmandu, you will meet the representative of Kai expedition waiting for you outside at Tribhuvan international airport. From the airport, you will directly take to the hotel and clear check-in formalities and leave you at the hotel. You can roam around Thamel.

  • Day 02 Sightseeing and preparation
    Today, first, we will set up all the climbing and trekking permits. After taking the entire trekking and climbing permit, we will explore the Kathmandu valley. First, we will visit Swayambhunath (the monkey temple), from where you will see the entire Kathmandu Valley from the top of Swayambhunath. After visiting Swayambhunath, we will explore Bouddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and after exploring around, return to the hotel and rest for a while. In the evening, you can attend evening Aarati at Pashupatinath and return to the hotel and spend overnight.

  • Day 03 Short flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding
    We will take a flight towards Lukla, which is considered as the world’s most adventurous airport. About 30 minutes of flight from Kathmandu, we will be at Lukla. Once we reach Lukla, we will meet the expedition team and the potters and start the trekking towards Phakding. On the way to Phakding, the trail offers breathtaking views of the surrounding and Himalayan peaks. We will enter Chheplung and Ghat villages before entering Phakding. It is just 3 hours of walking distance from Lukla to Phakding and spends overnight here.

  • Day 04 Phakding to Namche Bazaar
    Start the day by leaving Phakding after having a hot and nourishing breakfast. Along the way to Namche Bazaar, we will cross and re-cross the rapid Imja Khola. After walking for a few hours from Phakding, we will arrive at Monjo. At Monjo, we will complete all the paperwork at the office gate of the Sagarmatha National Park. After completing paperwork, we will have our lunch at Monjo, and slowly start our walking towards Namche Bazaar and spend overnight at beautiful Sherpa land.

  • Day 05 Rest day at Namche Bazaar
    Today, we will take our rest day. In the morning, we will go for a short hiking toward Everest view point. It is just 2 hours of walk from Namche Bazaar, and we will be at View point. From the viewpoint, we will get a mesmerizing view of the mountain with beautiful natural scenery. After visiting the viewpoint, we will be back to the hotel. The whole day, we will stay at the hotel. While having dinner, the guide will explain the day plan for tomorrow and spend overnight.

  • Day 06 Namche to Pangboche

    From Namche Bazaar, we will slowly start our trekking towards Pangboche. The trail is mostly descending all the way to Phugi Tenga, which is located by the river. After 7 hours of walking from Namche Bazaar, we will be at Pangboche and spend overnight in this beautiful village.

  • Day 07-20 Summit Mount Ama Dablam

    Summiting Mount Ama Dablam, often considered one of the most beautiful peaks in the world, is a challenging yet rewarding experience that requires determination, skill, and perseverance. From day 7 to day 20, climbers will undertake a grueling journey through steep terrain, high altitudes, and unpredictable weather. The climb begins with trekking through villages like Pangboche and Dingboche, before heading toward Base Camp, where preparation for the ascent begins in earnest. At Base Camp, climbers undergo acclimatization, followed by the set-up of higher camps as they gradually advance towards Camp I, Camp II, and finally, the summit. The route involves technical climbing, including navigating ice and rock walls, challenging ridge lines and crevasses sections, requiring both mountaineering experience and physical endurance.

    In the final push to the summit, climbers will face the most part demanding part if the expedition: the steep and exposed ridges that characterize Ama Dablam’s unique shapes. The summit attempt requires precise timing, as the risk of high-altitude sickness and adverse weather conditions can complicate the climb. However, those who reach the top are rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. The summit is not only a triumph of physical strength but also a test of mental resilience. Reaching the top of Ama Dablam is rare achievement that marks the culmination of weeks of preparation, climbing, and overcoming the challenges posed by one of the world’s most iconic mountains.

  • Day 21 Clean up the Base Camp
    Once we completed to summiting the Ama Dablam expedition, we will collect all the garbage produced during the expedition period on this day. The place must be cleaned up to protect the environment.

  • Day 22 Ama Dablam Base Camp to Tengboche
    After successfully summiting Ama Dablam Mountain, we will trek back to Tengboche. Before entering Tengboche, we will pass through Pheriche, Deboche, and Pangboche and finally at Tengboche.

  • Day 23 Tengboche to Namche Bazaar
    From Tengboche, we will slowly walk towards Namche Bazaar. The trail is descending, and you do not need to worry about an uphill climb. It is about 6 to 7 hours of walk and finally reaches Namche Bazaar and spends overnight at this beautiful village.

  • Day 24 Namche Bazaar to Lukla
    After having breakfast at Namche Bazaar, we will slowly move toward Lukla. On the way to Lukla, we will pass through small villages like Phakding, Cheplung, Thadokoshi, Ghat, and Chhuthawa. After 6 to 7 hours of walk from Namche Bazaar, we will Lukla and spend overnight here.

  • Day 25 Fly back to Kathmandu
    From Lukla, we will take a short flight to Kathmandu valley. After 30 minutes of flight, we will reach Kathmandu Valley. From a domestic airport, you will directly take to the hotel. In the evening, you can roam around Thamel and spend overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 26 Departure day
    The guide will be at the hotel lobby to take you to Tribhuvan international airport. The team member of Kai expedition is also there to see you off and hopes that you will give an opportunity to serve you again.
