• Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu
    You will meet the representative after landing at Tribhuvan international airport. After meeting the representative, we will take you to the hotel and clear all the check-in formalities and leave you at the hotel to take a rest.

  • Day 2 Preparation Day in Kathmandu
    Today, we will visit UNESCO world heritage sites around the Kathmandu valley. Very early morning, we will visit the Pashupatinath temple, one of the four most revered Hindu sites in the world. After visiting Pashupatinath, we will visit other UNESCO world heritage sites like Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and other world heritage sites. After visiting UNESCO heritage sites, we will be back to the hotel for some rest. In the evening, we will go shopping to buy some essential gear needed for this peak climbing. After shopping back to the hotel, you will meet the representative and the guide who will be with you at Dhampus peak climbing will explain about tomorrow’s plan.

  • Day 3 Drive or Flight to Pokhara
    According to your plan, we will take either a drive or a flight towards Pokhara. Drive and flight are possible while doing this trek. If we take a flight, it is just 35 minutes of flight from Kathmandu. And if we take a drive, it is about 7 to 8 hours of driving along the Trishuli River. After reaching Pokhara, firstly, we will clear all the formalities of check-in at the hotel and take some rest. In the evening, we will roam around Lakeside. From Phewa Lake, we will see mesmerizing views of sunset on the bank of the lake. After roaming around, we will get back to the hotel and spend overnight.

  • Day 4 Drive to Marpha
    From Pokhara, we will take a bus and slowly drive towards Marpha. The distance from Pokhara to Marpha is approximately 160 to 180 km, which takes almost 9 to 10 hours of driving. Throughout the drive, you will have an opportunity to pass through several villages with natural beauty and mesmerizing mountain views. After reaching Marpha, we will check in at the lodge, and if we have time, we will take a walk into the villages and spend overnight in this village.

  • Day 5 Acclimatization Day at Marpha
    On the 5th day of the Dhampus Peak Climbing, we will accumulate ourselves at Marpha. On this day, firstly, we will take a short trip around Marpha Village and climb uphill where there are three Gompas. After hiking Marpha Hill, we will return to the lodge, have our lunch and again start to visit the village. In Marpha village, we will explore the cultural museum, a horticulture apple farm, a monastery, and many more. After exploring around the village, back to the lodge and spending another night in this beautiful village.

  • Day 6 Trek to Yak Kharka
    We will start our trekking from Marpha. On the way to Yak Kharka, you get an opportunity to get into the pine and rhododendron forest with mesmerizing mountain views. Today, we will trek on the bank of the Kali Gandaki River. It is about 5 to 6 hours of walk from Marpha, and we will be at Yak Kharka and spend the night here.

  • Day 7 Acclimatization Day at Yak Kharka
    Today is the 2nd acclimatization day of Dhampus Peak Climbing. We will spend the whole day at Yak Kharka. From this beautiful village, you will get mesmerizing views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre. We will also visit the village, where we get to know about the culture and tradition of the local people. If you are a wildlife lover, then on this day, you can also encounter wildlife. If you are lucky, you will get an opportunity to see rare Himalayan wildlife like blue sheep and snow leopard. After exploring the village, we will be back to the lodge and spend overnight.

  • Day 8 Trek to Dhampus Peak Base Camp
    After spending two nights at Yak Kharka, we will walk towards Dhampus Peak Base Camp. From Yak Kharka, we will walk on the main trail passing through the Kali Gandaki River. The paths are long and traverse across the snow and climb the valley to reach Dhampus Peak Base Camp. From Dhampus Base Camp, you will get a mesmerizing view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain ranges. After reaching Base Camp, the team members will set up the tent, and while setting the tent, you can roam around.

  • Day 9 Preparation Day at Dhampus Peak Base Camp
    On this day, we will prepare for the climbing. We will learn about how to use climbing gear like crampons, harnesses, and knot the ropes. After learning how to use it, we will take a rest the whole day and get prepared for tomorrow.

  • Day 10 Climb Dhampus peak and back to Base Camp
    Today is the day you are waiting for. On this day, we will summit the Dhampus peak. We will start our trekking at 2 to 3 am early in the morning. It is because, today, we have to walk a very long distance. The trail passes the glacier, following the slippery and icy trail. If you keep walking on this trail, you will be at the top of Dhampus Peak. From the top of Dhampus, you will get a mesmerizing view of Annapurna South, II, III, IV, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and many other peaks. After spending some time at the top of the peak, we will return to the base camp and spend overnight.

  • Day 11 Extra day for Peak Climbing
    It is better to keep an extra day on the itinerary while peak climbing because if you cannot summit on the past day, you can summit this day. It is because the weather in high Himalayan land is so unpredictable. After summiting Dhampus peak, we will be back to the base camp and spend overnight here.

  • Day 12 Trek to Yak Kharka
    After summiting Dhampus Peak, we will trek back to Yak Kharka. Today, we will trek down and enter the Kali Gandaki valley. From Kali Gandaki Valley, you will get a glimpse of Kali Gandaki Gorge, the World’s deepest gorge. It is about 6 to 7 hours of walk from Base Camp to Yak Kharka. After reaching Yak Khara, you can roam around the village and spend overnight at Yak Kharka.

  • Day 13 Trek to Marpha
    From Yak Kharka, we will trek back to Marpha Village. The trail is fantastic and beautiful from Yak Kharka to Marpha. From Yak Kharka to Marpha, it is about 6 to 7 hours of walk. After reaching Marpha, we will take some time to rest. In the evening, you can roam around the beautiful village and, after roaming around, return to the lodge and spend overnight.

  • Day 14 Drive to Pokhara
    From Marpha, we will take a local jeep and drive towards Pokhara. While driving towards Pokhara, we will enter a beautiful village in the Annapurna region. After 6-7 hours of driving from Marpha, we will be at Pokhara and check-in to the hotel and spend overnight at Pokhara.

  • Day 15 Drive or fly to Kathmandu
    From Pokhara, you can either take a flight or drive. The easy way to get into Kathmandu is by flight, which takes only 35 minutes. But by bus, it takes almost 7 to 8 hours to get to Kathmandu, but you will get an opportunity to see the natural beauty of Nepal with mesmerizing mountain views. After reaching Kathmandu, you will directly take to the hotel and clear up all the check-in formalities and leave you at the hotel to take a rest.

  • Day 16 Departure day
    According to the flight schedule, we will take you to the airport. The team member of the Kai expedition and the guide who is with you on this Dhampus peak climbing will be there at the airport to see you off and hope that you will visit Nepal again.
