• Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

    Ganga Jamuna Adventure Treks Team representative will receive you at the airport and guide you to your hotel. In the evening, we will have a short discussion on the upcoming trip and make some necessary preparations.

  • Day 2 Kathmandu to Pokhara

    We will have our morning breakfast at the hotel and head off to the 'Lake City of Nepal', Pokhara. After a six-hour drive, we arrive at the beautiful city of Pokhara. Sleeping 200km west of Kathmandu, Pokhara has a lot of culture, heritage, and sights to showcase. The mesmerizing views of the Himalayas, serene lakes, mysterious caves along with enchanting waterfalls sum up the city of Pokhara. We can take a short walk around the hotel in the evening.

    *OPTION: We can catch a flight to Pokhara and enjoy the rest of the day sightseeing

  • Day 3 Sightseeing in Pokhara

    Wake up to the sunrise view over the top of the high sitting peaks. Hike up to the most popular viewpoint of the region, the Sarangkot Hill, early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise views over the top of the Annapurna massif and the Fish Tail Mountain. Return to the hotel for breakfast and visit the Bindhyabasini Temple situated at the center of the old bazaar of the valley. The temple signifies the ancient Newar architecture and craftsmanship. From there, we will visit another famous temple of Lord Shiva known as the Gupteshwor Mahadev which resides within a cave. Near the cave is the most popular waterfall in the region, David’s fall. We will row a boat in the Phewa Lake to admire the beautiful reflection of the Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peak and return to the hotel.

  • Day 4 Pokhara to Chitwan

    We wake up to the sunrise for the second day in the lake city of Pokhara and set off to Chitwan after having a hearty breakfast at the hotel. A 5 hours drive through green fields, rushing rivers and beautiful sceneries will take us 86 km far from lake city and land use in the fifth largest city of Nepal. After an hour of rest in the hotel, we will walk around the district along the banks of the Rapti River to view the entrancing sunset over the lush green forest. We will enjoy a cultural program performed by the local ethnic group in the evening.

  • Day 5 Explore Chitwan

    A slow wake-up call and a filling breakfast before the visit to the elephant breeding center to see baby elephants. We will visit the bank of the Rapti River for bird watching and go for a Canoe ride along the river. We will also be able to see two rare species of crocodiles: the Marsh Mugger and Gharial, the only fish eating breed of a crocodile. Walks along the natural vegetation will show us the diverse flora and fauna of the region. Elephant Safari is the most popular outdoor activity in the region. We will be able to see various kinds of deers, monkeys, leopards, bears, sloths, and the endangered species of One-horned Rhino and Royal Bengal Tiger.

  • Day 6 Chitwan to Kathmandu and Nagarkot

    A 158 km drive back to the capital city of Kathmandu after breakfast along the bumpy and windy roads. We will drive towards a former VDC of Nepal, Nagarkot which takes us about 2 hours from Kathmandu. We will visit one of the UNESCO listed world heritage sites, Bhaktapur Durbar Square en route. Bhaktapur showcases the ancient arts, architecture, culture and lifestyle of the predeceased Newar community. We will move to Nagarkot for the broadest views of the Himalayas in the Kathmandu valley. 8 out of 13 mountain ranges can be seen from the village.

  • Day 7 Sightseeing in Kathmandu

    After another look at the mountain ranges from the Nagarkot village, it’s time for us to explore the city of temples. We will visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swoyambhunath, all of which are listed under the UNESCO world heritage sites. Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the old palaces of the Malla and Shah rulers that ruled Nepal. The place is famous for its museum and the Kumari Ghar, the home of the living goddess. Swoyambhu has 365 steps upfront which, when climbed will take us to the top of the temple. The stupa has various small stupas and temples, shrines, a museum, and a huge ‘bajra’. From the top of Swoyambhunath, the whole of the Kathmandu Valley can be seen. Pashupatinath holds its values to the devotees of Lord Shiva. It is one of the holiest temples of Lord Shiva. And, Boudhanath is the center of faith for the Buddhists. It is the largest stupa of Nepal rich in traditional Buddhist arts and culture.
