Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu
As you landed at Kathmandu, you will meet the representative of the Kai expedition. After meeting the representative, you will directly take to the hotel, clear check-in formalities, and leave you at the hotel. If you want then, you can roam around Thamel in the evening. -
Day 2 Rest and preparation for trekking
Firstly, we will take all the permits like climbing permit, special permit, and conservation area permit. After getting the entire permit, you will take to the hotel to take some rest. If you do not want to take a rest, you can go shopping to get the climbing equipment which is needed while climbing. In the evening time, you can visit Pashupatinath, one of the four most revered Hindu sites in the world. After visiting Pashupatinath, we will be back to the hotel and spend overnight. -
Day 3 Drive towards Machha Khola
From Kathmandu, we will drive towards Machha Khola after having nourishing breakfast. The drive follows a scenic trail along Prithvi Highway with various landscapes of the hilly region. After driving 5 to 6 hours from Kathmandu valley, we will reach Arughat and from Arughat, we will take a local jeep which takes us to Machha Khola and spend overnight here. -
Day 4 Trek to Jagat
Today, we will start our 1st day walking trekking where we walk from Machha Khola to Jagat. The trail passes through a forested area, and we will be at Dovan. On the way to Jagat, you will witness a close glimpse of a mountain with natural scenery and huge rapids at Budhi Gandaki which is a hot spot for rafters. The trail ascends through the pine tree with a magnificent canyon and the crossroad. After walking 6 to 7 hours from Machha Khola, we will finally arrive at Jagat which is the resting point for today. -
Day 5 Trek to Deng
The trail passes through a suspension bridge and climbs uphill on a stony path. From Jagat, we will descend a long series of stone to the river and terraced field, and we will be at Saguleri. We will have a closely glimpse of Sringi Himal and Ganesh Himal from Saguleri. From Saguleri, we will continue our journey upstream passing through a steep gorge and cross over the river. Before entering Deng, we will reach Ngyak. We will take a break at Ngyak and after resting, we will start our journey towards Deng where we are going to spend overnight. -
Day 6 Trek to Namrung
After having a nourishing breakfast at Deng, we will continue our trek towards Namrung. The trail leads through a newly built rock tunnel and reach Ghap which is a peaceful Tibetan village with Mani stone and chortens. On the way to Namrung, we have mesmerizing views of Ganesh Himal, Siring, Mt Himal Chuli and other peaks of the region. The trails make this trail ideal for culture exploration which provides you with a tremendous natural exploration opportunity. After walking 7 to 8 hours from Deng, we will finally arrive at Namrung and spend overnight here. -
Day 7 Trek to Lho
Today, we will cross the wooden bridge over Budhi Gandaki and pass through many cultivated fields with many small houses. On the way to Lho, we will witness a mesmerizing view of mountains like Naike Peak, Manaslu North, and Manaslu. Before entering Lho, we will enter Namru, where there is a police checkpoint. After 6 to 7 hours of walk from Namrung, we will reach Lho and if you want, you can roam around the village and spend overnight here. -
Day 8 Trek to Samagaun
From Lho, the trail will take through the village of Shyala with the mesmerizing view of Mt Manaslu and other peaks of this region. On this day trek, you will get an opportunity to observe the cultural landscape of this region. After 5 -6 hours of walking from Lho finally reached Samagaun. At Samagathe in the evening we will visit Ribung Gompa in evening time. After exploring Samagaun, we will be back to the lodge. While having dinner, the guide will explain a day plan for tomorrow and spend overnight. -
Day 9 Acclimatization at Samagaun
There are many places to visit in Samagaun. On the acclimatization day in Samagaun, we will explore all around the village. We will visit the beautiful landscapes including Birendra Lake and Ani Gompa. If you are okay then, we will go for a short hike at Samagaun. After exploring around the village, we will go back to the lodge and spend overnight. -
Day 10 Trek to Samdo
The trail passes through lush, forested trail of brich and juniper trees with the majestic view of Budhi Gandaki River. On this day trek, we will walk at least 4 to 5 hours from Samagaun to Samdo. We will cross a suspension bridge and cross the stream before entering Samdo. After reaching Samdo, we will check in the lodge and at dinner time, the guide will explain the day plan for tomorrow and spend overnight. -
Day 11 Trek to Dharamsala
We will continue our trek through the Budhi Gandaki River through suspension bridges. After crossing suspension bridge, the trail begins a hike upwards. We also have an opportunity to pass through the Larkya glacier and Larka Phedi before entering Dharamsala and spend overnight. -
Day 12 Trek to Larkya Base Camp
From Dharamsala, we will start our day journey towards Larkya La Base Camp. Today, we will climb the lateral moraines of Larkya Glacier and from Glacier; we will descend towards the frozen lake. After crossing the Frozen Lake, we will climb to the Larkya La pass. From Larkya La pass, we get a close glimpse of Himlung, Annapurna II and other peaks. It is 6 hours of walk from Dharamsala and finally at Larkya La Base Camp. After reaching Base Camp, the team members will set up the tent and spend overnight. -
Day 13 Trek to Larkya La High Camp
The trail will gradually ascend uphill to reach High Camp from Base Camp. On the way to High camp, we will walk through steep, narrow and rocky path which makes journey a little bit difficult. It is just 5 hours of walk from base camp we will be at High camp. After reaching high camp, the team members will set up the tent. While the team member is setting the tent, you can roam around. -
Day 14 Preparation for climbing
We are not going to start our trekking today. It is just because on this day, we will learn about some technique to climb the peak. We also learn how to use climbing equipment like crampons, harness and how to knot ropes. After learning the technique of using climbing equipment, we will take a rest and physically and mentally prepare for tomorrow.

Day 15 Climb Larkya La peak and back to High Camp
Today is the day we have dreamed of where we summit Larkya La Peak. Around 4am, we will start our climbing. Today, we will walk at an altitude of 6249m from sea level, so it is better to walk slowly. Once you reach the top of Larkya la Peak, you will be amazed with Annapurna and Manaslu Mountain Ranges. After summiting Larkya La Peak, we will be back to the High Camp and spend overnight. -
Day 16 Extra day for climbing
Today is the extra day for the Larkya la Peak climbing if you are unable to summit Larkya La peak due to bad weather. We would summit this peak on this day in case if we did not summit Larkya La peak on the past day. After summiting the Lakya la Pass, we will go back to Larkya La High Camp and spend overnight. -
Day 17 Trek to Bimthang
After successfully summiting the Larkya La peak, we will trek downwards to Bimthang. Along the trail descending through the loose rocky path and enjoy mesmerizing view of snow-capped mountains. It is 5 hours of walk from High Camp, we will reach Bimthang. After reaching Bimthang, we will check into the lodge and in the evening time, you can roam around the village and spend overnight. -
Day 18 Trek to Dharapani
Start our day with a hot breakfast in Bhimtang and slowly move towards Dharapani. The trail is descending and crossing a stony glacier before entering Dharapani. On this day, the trails pass through dense forest with mesmerizing views of Manaslu, Larkya, Nadi, and Chuli Himal. We also have an opportunity to explore the beautiful villages of this region before entering the Dharapani. After 7 to 8 hours of walking from Bhimtang, we will reach Dharapani and spend overnight. -
Day 19 Drive back to Kathmandu
From Dharapani, we will take a local jeep and drive towards Besisahar. It is about 4 to 5 hours’ drive, and we will reach Besisahar. At Besisahar, we will have our lunch, and we will take a tourist bus and slowly drive towards Kathmandu. From Besisahar, we will take a route through Prithvi highway to move towards Kathmandu. On the way to Kathmandu, the trail passes through various scenic trails which include natural diversities of green hills, mountain valleys, and vast meadows. After 5 to 6 hours of drive from Besisahar, we will reach Kathmandu and directly take to the hotel and spend overnight. -
Day 20 Departure day
According to flight schedule, you will take to the airport. The team members of Kai expedition are also there to see you off and hoping that you will be given an opportunity to serve you again.
