Start your day tour in Patan, also known as Lalitpur, where you will explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Patan Durbar Square. You will admire its exquisite Newari architecture, including the majestic Hiranaya Varna Mahavihar (Golden Temple), the Mahabouddha Temple, and the ancient Krishna Mandir. After enjoying the artistic beauty of the square, visit the Patan Museum to view a stunning collection of traditional Nepalese art.
Next, head to Bhaktapur, a medieval city that retains much of its original charm, and wander through the bustling Durbar Square, home to the towering Vatsala Temple and the iconic 55-Window Palace. Do not miss the awe-inspiring Bhirabnath Temple and the atmospheric Taumadhi Square, which is famous for its towering Nyatapola Temple, the tallest pagoda-style temple in Nepal. You can also explore the pottery square, where local artisans still practice their craft, or visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Museum to learn about the city’s rich history. Before concluding the day, indulge in some local Newari cuisine, like “king curd” (juju dhau), a sweat treat famous in Bhaktapur. In the early evening, you will drive back to Kathmandu. Before heading to the hotel, we will attend evening Aarati in Pashupatinath. And after Aarati in Pashupatinath, return to the hotel and spend overnight.
