Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu
Upon you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu Valley, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Kai Expedition. After clearing immigration and collecting your luggage, you will be greeted with traditional hospitality and transferred to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to relax and recover from your journey, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Nepal’s capital city. A short briefing about the upcoming adventure will be provided later in the evening. -
Day 2 Sightseeing at Kathmandu
Today is dedicated to exploring the cultural and historical treasure of Kathmandu before heading into the mountain. After breakfast, the day begins with a visit to UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple), offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley, followed by Patan Durbar Square to admire its intricate Newari architecture and ancient temples. Later, the tour continues to the scared Pashupatinath Temple along the Bagmati river and the serene Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. This relaxed yet enriching day helps travelers adjust, gather last-minute trekking preparations, and mentally transition from city life to the peaceful Himalayan trails of the Pikey Peak Trek. -
Day 3 Drive towards Dhap from Kathmandu
With an early morning drive from Kathmandu towards Dhap, marking the start of the journey into the lower Everest region for Pikey Peak trek. Leaving behind the busy streets of the capital, the road gradually winds through scenic hills, terraced farmlands, and traditional villages, offering glimpses of rural Nepali life. As the drive continues, the landscape becomes more remote and peaceful, with forested ridges and distant mountain views appearing along the way. Through the journey can be long and uneven at times, it is filled with beautiful scenery and cultural encounters. By late afternoon or evening, you arrive at Dhap, a small settlement that serves as the gateway to the Pikey Peak trail, where you settle in for the night and prepare for the trekking days ahead.

Day 4 Dhap to Jhapre
The trek starts as you leave Dhap and walk towards Jhapre, gradually immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the Pikey Peak region. The trail passes through rhododendron forests, small Sherpa settlements, and cultivated fields, with a gentle mix of ascents and descents. Along the way, you are rewarded with clear views of rolling hills and, on a clear day, distant snow-capped peaks. The peaceful surroundings, prayer flags, and chortens reflects the strong Buddhist culture of the area. After several hours of walking, you reach Jhapre, a charming village known for its panoramic mountain views and warm hospitality, where you spend the night while enjoying the tranquil atmosphere of the Himalayas. -
Day 5 Jhapre to Pikey Peak Base Camp
The trail gently climbs through peaceful pine and rhododendron forests from Jhapre to Pikey Peak Base Camp. Along the way, you will pass small grazing areas and traditional Sherpa settlements, with glowing views of the rolling hills and snow-capped peaks as altitude is gained. After several hours of gradual ascents, the trail reaches the Pikey Peak Base Camp, a calm and open area surrounded by forested ridges, where the day ends with rest. -
Day 6 Explore around Pikey Peak and back to Jasmane Bhanjyang
Starting early to enjoy a peaceful sunrise wide Himalayan view of Everest and Kanchenjunga, and the rolling mid-hills. After breakfast, the walk continues along quiet ridgelines, through rhododendron forests and traditional Sherpa villages, offering time to observe local life, visit small monasteries, and take photographs. The trail gradually descends with gentle ups and downs, providing relaxed walking and chances to rest while enjoying the mountain scenery. By late afternoon, the trek returns to Jasmane Bhanjyang, where the day ends with a warm meal and overnight stay, reflecting on a rewarding day of exploration.

Day 7 Jasmane Bhanjyang to Junbesi
The trail is a scenic and culturally rich walk from Jasmane Bhanjyang to Junbesi. The gently descends through dense rhododendron and pine forests, passing quiet yak pastures and traditional Sherpa villages. Along the way, you will enjoy peaceful mountain landscapes and occasional views of surrounding hills. The day ends in Junbesi, a beautiful Sherpa town known for its historic monastery, welcoming locals, and comfortable lodges, making it a relaxing and rewarding conclusion to the Pikey Peak trek. -
Day 8 Junbesi to Phaplu
The final walk from Junbesi to Phaplu, following a pleasant trail through terraced farmland, small Sherpa settlements, and lush forests. The route offers gentle ups and downs, offering views of green hills and rural village life. You will pass through traditional communities and cultivated fields before reaching Phaplu, a lively town with an airstrip and road access, marking the end of a memorable journey of Pikey Peak Trek. -
Day 9 Drive back to Kathmandu from Phaplu
The day marks the end of the Pikey Peak trek as we begin our scenic drive back to Kathmandu from Phaplu. The journey takes us through winding mountain roads, terraced hillsides, and traditional villages, offering final glimpses of rural life in the Lower Solu region. Along the way, we will pass rivers, small towns, and lush landscapes that gradually transition into the bustling outskirts of the Kathmandu Valley. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, there is time to rest, enjoy a warm shower, and reflect on the rewarding trekking experience. The evening can be spent at leisure, exploring local restaurants or relaxing after the unforgettable journey to Pikey Peak. -
Day 10 Departure Day
Your final day begins with a peaceful morning giving you time to pack up, enjoying a last Nepali breakfast and perhaps pack up a few souvenirs. Depending on your flight schedule, you have a chance for a short stroll around Thamel, or a quiet moment of reflection. Our team members will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport with a heartfelt farewell, marking the end of your unforgettable journey through the Himalayas.
