Once you perch at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a team member of Kai Expedition and clear immigration formalities. After completing immigration formalities, you will be transfer to your hotel where you can relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, there will be a brief orientation session to introduce the team, review the itinerary, and ensure you are fully prepared for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 Trekking preparation and sightseeing
You will focus on final trekking preparations and sightseeing around Kathmandu. The day begins with a gear check and final briefing to ensure you are fully equipped for the Sherpani Col Pass trek. Afterward, you will explore some of Kathmandu’s cultural highlights, such as the sacred Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, and the spiritual Pashupatinath Temple or Bouddhanath Stupa. It is a perfect blend of practical readiness and cultural immersion before heading into the Himalayas.

Day 3 Kathmandu – Tumlingtar (fly) - Num
On day 03 of the Sherpani Col Pass Trek, you will take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar, a gateway to the remote eastern Himalayas. Upon landing on Tumlingtar, you will take a drive towards Num, where you will witness the lush forest with mesmerizing views of the High Mountains. The journey offers your first real glimpse of rural Nepal and the terrain ahead, setting the tone for the challenging adventure that lies beyond.

Day 4 Num to Seduwa
Today, you will trek from Num to Seduwa. Along the way to Seduwa, you will pass through terraced fields and dense forest to the Arun Valley. After crossing a suspension bridge, a steady uphill climb leads you to Seduwa, which will be the resting spot for the day.

Day 5 Seduwa to Tashi Gaon
The journey continues with a scenic trek from Seduwa to Tashi Gaon. As you gain altitude, the views of the surrounding hills and valleys becomes increasingly spectacular. This peaceful mountain village is nestled against a backdrop of forested hills, offers a chance to rest and prepare for the most challenging days ahead.

Day 6 Tashi Gaon to Khongma Danda
You will trek from Tashi Gaon to Khongma Danda, where the journey is a steep and challenging ascent through dense forest and alpine terrain. Along the way to Khongma Danda, you will pss through lush forests with mesmerizing views of Himalayan giants. After trekking few hours from Tashi Gaon, you will reach Khongma Danda, where you will rest and prepare for the trekking ahead.

Day 7 Khongma Danda to Dobato
Today, you will trek from Khongma Danda to Dobato, where the journey continues with a scenic and challenging trek. Along the way to Dobato, you will get an opportunity to know about the lifestyle of this region. As you gain elevation, the terrain becomes more rugged and remote, giving a sense of the wilderness. After several hours of trekking through varied landscapes, you will reach Dobato, where you rest for the night and prepare for the higher altitude ahead.

Day 8 Dobato to Yangli Kharka
In the early morning, you will start the trekking, where the trail descends from Dobato to Yangli Kharka. The route offers stunning views of towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and distant glaciers as you follow the Barun River. After several hours of trekking through this dramatic landscape, you will arrive at Yangli Kharka, where you will spend overnight.

Day 9 Acclimatization day at Yangli Kharka
Today, we will acclimatize at Yangli Kharka. While trekking at high altitude, acclimatization is important because it allows the body to adjust to the higher altitude and prepare for the challenging days ahead. Surrounded by stunning alpine landscapes and serene forests, trekkers can take short hikes around the area, explore nearby ridge for panoramic views, or simply rest and enjoy the peaceful environment. This day is very important for preserving altitude sickness and ensuring a safer and more enjoyable journey onward into higher elevation. -
Day 10 Yangli Kharka to Langmale Kharka
The trail from Yangli Kharka to Langmale Kharka ascends gradually through a beautiful alpine valley, offering breathtaking views of towering peaks and glacier-fed rivers. As the trek gains altitude, the landscapes become more rugged and dramatic, with spare vegetation and open meadows. Along the way to Langmale Kharka, you may pass yak herders and encounter the raw beauty of the Himalayan wilderness. After several hours of steady hiking, the trail reaches Langmale Kharka, which is an ideal spot to rest and acclimatize further before heading to higher elevation.

This pause was essential for recovery and ensuring everyone remained in good health before continuing the ascent.

Today, you will trek from Swiss Camp to Sherpani Col Base Camp, navigating rugged terrain and gaining altitude steadily. Upon reaching the Sherpani Col Base Camp, the team member will set the camp, where you will take a rest and mentally prepare for the technical section ahead.

Day 15 Trek to Baruntse Camp

Day 16 Baruntse Camp to Hinku Cave
After the previous day’s demanding traverse, today’s trek from Baruntse Camp to Hinku Cave offers a slightly easier descent, through still within rugged alpine terrain. The trail leads down the Hinku Glacier, with stunning views of surrounding peaks like Chamlang and Makalu. After walking for a few hours from Baruntse Camp, you will reach Hinku Cave where you can rest and prepare for the trekking ahead.

Day 17 Hinku Cave to Amu Lapcha Base Camp
The trek continues from Hinku Cave to the Amphu Lapcha Base Camp, a challenging and scenic route that marks the approach to one of the most technical sections of the expedition. The trail ascends steadily through remote and rugged alpine terrain, with stunning views of surrounding peaks like Baruntse and Chamlang. As the altitude increases, the landscape becomes more glacial and barren, highlight the raw beauty of the Himalayas. The day ends with a campsite near the base of the Amphu Lapcha pass, where you can rest and prepare for the journey ahead.

Day 18 Acclimatization at Amu Lapcha Base Camp
Today is another acclimatization day of Sherpani Col Pass Trek at Amu Lapcha Base Camp. The rest day is very important: trekking at high altitude for minimizing the risk of altitude sickness and preparing both physically and mentally for the technical climb ahead. You may take a short hike while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding glaciers and towering Himalayan peak. -
Day 19 Amu Lapcha Base Camp to Chhukung
Today, you will trek descent from the challenging Amu Lapcha Base Camp to Chhukung. After crossing the technical Amu Lapcha Pass, the trail descends steeply over glacial terrain and rocky paths into the Imja Valley. The route offers dramatic views of towering peak like Ama Dablam and Island Peas. As the altitude drops, the landscape shifts from icy wilderness to alpine meadows, eventually reaching the small Sherpa village of Chhukung, where you will end the day and take a rest.

Day 20 Chhukung to Tengboche
In the early morning, you will start trekking from Chhukung to Tengboche. The trail passes through Dingboche and Pangboche, offering stunning views of Ama Dablam and other Himalayan giants. As you lose altitude, the air becomes richer and the landscapes greener. After a few hours of trekking through rhododendron forests and alpine terrain, you arrive at the spiritual heart of the Khumbu region (Tengboche).

The trek descends from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar, retracing the trail through lush rhododendron forests and across suspension bridge. Day 22 Namche Bazaar to Lukla
The trek continues from Namche Bazaar to Lukla, marking the final walking days of the Sherpani Col Pass Trek. Although mostly downhill, some final uphill stretches test tired legs. After several hours, the familiar town of Lukla is reached, where you can celebrate the completion of your journey to Sherpani Col Pass. -
Day 23 Fly back to Kathmandu
You will board a scenic flight back to Kathmandu, leaving behind the serene mountain and remote landscapes. As you soar above the Himalayas, take in the final aerial views of the snow-capped peak before landing in the bustling capital. Once in Kathmandu, you can spend the rest, reflecting on your journey, or exploring the city’s vibrant streets and cultural landmarks.

After a final breakfast in the Kathmandu Valley, the team member of Kai Expedition will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flights, carrying with you lasting memories of Nepal.
