• Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu

    Once you perch at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly welcome by a team member of Kai Expedition and clear immigration formalities. After completing immigration formalities, you will transfer to your hotel where you can relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, there will be brief orientation session to introduce the team, review the itinerary, and ensure you are fully prepared for adventure ahead.

  • Day 2 Sightseeing and preparation for trekking

    Today, you will spend the day in Kathmandu preparing for the adventure ahead. This includes finalizing trekking permits, checking gear, and meeting your guide or team for a briefing. After preparations, you will have time for sightseeing around the city, exploring cultural landmarks such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath, and the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is a perfect blend of practical arrangements and cultural immersion before heading into the Himalayas.

  • Day 3 Drive to Gonger and trek to Simigaon

    You will begin with an early morning drive from Kathmandu to Gonger, a scenic journey winding through mountain roads and rural landscapes. From Gonger, the trek starts with a gradual ascent alongside the Tama Koshi River, passing thorough a small village and lush forests. After several hours of walking, you will reach the picturesque village of Simigaon, perched on a hillside with stunning views of the surrounding valleys and distant peaks.

  • Day 4 Simigaon to Daldung La

    Today, the journey continues from Simigaon to Daldung La, where the trail gradually ascends through dense rhododendron and pine forests, offering occasional views of the surrounding peaks. As you gain elevation, the path becomes steeper and more remote, with fewer settlements along the way. Daldung La provides a peaceful resting point amid alpine surroundings, preparing for trekking at higher altitude in the days ahead.

  • Day 5 Daldung La to Beding
    The route leads from Daldung La to the traditional Sherpa village of Beding. As you trek towards Beding, the landscape opens up to reveal stunning views of snow-capped peaks. Beding, the largest village in the Rolwaling Valley, sits at an elevation of 3721 meters and offers a glimpse into the local Sherpa culture, with ancient monasteries and stone-built houses.

  • Day 6 Acclimatization day at Beding
    Today is the acclimatization day at Beding, a picturesque village nestled at around 3721 meters in the Rolwaling Valley. You can typically explore the surrounding area, enjoying short hikes to nearby ridges or the monastery while soaking in stunning views of Gaurishanker and the surrounding peaks. It is a restful yet important day that helps the body adapt and reduces the risk of altitude sickness before continuing the ascent.

  • Day 7 Beding to Na Gaun
    The trek involves a scenic trek from Beding to Na Gaun, situated at around 4180 meters. The trail gradually ascends along the Rolwaling River, passing through alpine meadows and yak pastures with breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks like Gaurishankar. Na Gaun, a small seasonal settlement used by herders, offers a peaceful and remote setting ideal for further acclimatization. The day’s hike is relatively short and gentle, allowing trekkers to adjust to the higher altitude while enjoying the raw beauty of the Rolwaling Valley.

  • Day 8 Acclimatization day at Na Gaun

    Today is the second day acclimatization day at Na Gaun, an important rest stop before tackling the challenging Tashi Lapcha Pass. Na Gaun is situated at a high altitude; this village offers you a chance to adjust to the thinning air while enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding peaks. This day is essential for physical adaptation and helps reduce the risk of altitude sickness. You can take short hikes around the area, explore the traditional villages, and soak in the serene mountains environment, preparing both body and mind for the demanding days ahead.

  • Day 9 Na Gaun to Tso Rolpa Lake

    The day begins with a scenic trek from Na Gaun to Tso Rolpa Lake, one of the largest glacial lakes in Nepal. The trail ascends gradually through rugged terrain and offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, glacial moraines, and dramatic landscapes. This day not only brings you closer to the base of Tashi Lapcha pass but also deepens the sense of adventure in this remote Himalayan wilderness.

  • Day 10 Tso Rolpa Lake to Trakarding Glacier
    The trek continues from the stunning Tso Rolpa Lake towards the Trakarding Glacier, a challenging yet awe-inspiring segment en route to the Tashi Lapcha Pass. Surrounded by towering peaks and icy expanses, you are treated to dramatic Himalayan vistas. This day serves as a crucial acclimatization and positioning stage before the technical ascent of the Tashi Lapcha Pass, offering both physical tests and unforgettable scenery.

  • Day 11 Trakarding Glacier to Tashi Lapcha Phedi

    Today, you will trek from Trakarding Glacier to Tashi Lapcha Phedi, which involves navigating through rugged glacial landscapes, with a mix of ice, scree, and exposed rocky sections. The trail becomes more technical and demanding, often requiring the use of ropes or crampons depending on conditions. As you approach the base Camp, dramatic views of the surrounding peaks intensify, building anticipation for the next day’s pass crossing. This is physically challenging but rewarding days, essential for proper acclimatization and preparation.

  • Day 12 Tashi Lapcha Phedi to Tashi Camp

    You will trek from Tashi Lapcha Phedi to Tashi Camp via the challenging Tashi Lapcha Pass. This is one of the most demanding sections of the journey, requiring an early start and steady ascent over snow and ice. The climb to the pass offers breathtaking views of towering Himalayan peaks and glacial landscapes. After crossing the pass, the descent of Tashi Camp is technical and steep, often requiring ropes and crampons. The day ends with a well-earned rest at Tashi Camp, surrounded by dramatic alpine scenery.

  • Day 13 Tashi Camp to Thyangbo

    The trek from Tashi Camp to Thyangbo offers a scenic descent through high alpine terrain, gradually transitioning into more open valleys. The trail winds past rocky ridges, and scattered yak herder shelters, with occasional glimpses of snow-capped peaks in the distance. The walk is relatively moderate, giving you a chance to relax and take in the serenity of the area. After walking several hours from Tashi Camp, you will reach Thyangbo, where you will end the day and spend overnight.

  • Day 14 Thyangbo to Thame

    Today, the journey continues with a descent towards Thame. The path winds through rugged landscapes, offering breathtaking views of the towering peaks of the Khumbu region. The trek from Thyangbo to Thame is relatively easier compared to the pass, with the trail gradually descending through lush valleys and traditional Sherpa villages. Thame is known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning views of Everest and surrounding peaks, marking a peaceful end to a physically demanding day. The sense of accomplishment from completing the pass mixes with the tranquility of the village, providing a moment of respite before the final leg of the journey.

  • Day 15 Thame to Namche Bazaar

    The trek from Thame to Namche Bazaar takes you through a scenic, relatively easier trail, marked by lush forests and small Sherpa villages. The path descends gradually, offering stunning views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks, including Everest and Lhotse. As you approach Namche, the trail becomes more vibrant with the sight of local life, yak caravans, and prayer flags fluttering in the wind. It is a perfect place to relax, resupply, and reflect on the journey so far.

  • Day 16 Namche Bazaar to Lukla

    In the early morning, we will trek to Lukla from Namche Bazaar. The trail, although demanding, offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys as you descend. The air grows warmer as you leave the high altitudes behind, providing a slight relief after a strenuous pass. Passing through small Sherpa villages and lush forests, the journey offers a sense of accomplishment, knowing you have traversed one of the most demanding sections of the trek. By evening, you will arrive in Lukla, where the adventure concludes with a sense of triumph and anticipation for the return flight.

  • Day 17 Fly back to Kathmandu

    You will take an early morning from Lukla back to Kathmandu, concluding your trek through the Himalayas. The short but scenic flight offers one last glimpse of the towering peak before you return to the bustling capital. Upon landing in Kathmandu, the bustling city welcomes you back with its vibrant streets, making the end of an unforgettable journey through the Tashi Lapcha Pass.
